Louis E. Grever, Qbase Senior Vice President for Product and Services Development, Receives National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal

Reston, VA — Qbase, LLC proudly announces that Mr. Louis E. Grever, Senior Vice President for Product and Services Development and recently retired Executive Assistant Director for the FBI’s Science and Technology Branch, was presented with the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal for his work in support of the United States Intelligence Community (US IC). In a ceremony held at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence attended by senior leadership in the US IC and family, DNI James Clapper highlighted several noteworthy accomplishments and then pinned the medal on Mr. Grever. The National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal is the highest award bestowed on current or former U.S. government employees or members of the military as part of the National Intelligence Awards program and is granted to those who distinguish themselves by meritorious actions to the betterment of national security in the United States of America.
“I am so proud to have served our country as part of the FBI and the US Intelligence Community and am humbled by this recognition. The people of the United States are well served by the many selfless men and women of the Intelligence Community and their sacrifices, many never to be recounted in public, help to ensure the security of our nation and our partners. It was my honor to stand with those brave men and women,” Grever said after the ceremony.

The National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, as established by Intelligence Community Director 655, is awarded by the Director of National Intelligence to recognize sustained, selfless service of the highest order, and/or extraordinary and long-lasting contributions to the Intelligence Community and the United States by an individual in a position of great responsibility. The NIDSM is awarded only when appropriate and on a highly selective basis. The NIDSM is the highest award granted by the Director of National Intelligence and is open to all eligible U.S. government civilian and military personnel.
