Qbase, a data analysis, management and consulting company with headquarters in Dayton, announced today that it will open an office in Springfield.
The company serves nonprofit organizations, the health care industry, higher education institutions, state and federal government agencies and the U.S. military.
The Springfield facility will work specifically with health care, concentrating on industry-specific software development.
Qbase will bring 100 jobs to the community during the next three years, with 40 in the first year. According to CEO Bill Pardue, the average employment compensation package will total approximately $90,000.
The company will be located temporarily at 20 S. Limestone St. while it awaits the completion of its facility at the Nextedge Applied Research and Technology Park.
The establishment of Qbase's local office is the result of a collaboration among many local and regional entities including Rep. David Hobson, R-Springfield, the city of Springfield, Clark County, the Community Improvement Corporation, The Turner Foundation and the Dayton Development Coalition.
The Ohio Department of Development has pledged grants, tax credits and low-interest loans, contingent upon final approval in March.
Qbase will also work with higher education to offer internship opportunities and curricular consulting. Wittenberg University, Clark State Community College, Cedarville University, Central State University, Wright State University and the University of Dayton will all participate in the program.
